Overview
Description
Thank you for taking the time to look at our listing. Hopefully, we’ll be meeting you very soon.Situated in the beautiful Eden Valley and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Great Asby is a friendly and inclusive village with a fantastic pub doing great home cooked food a five minute walk away. The Lake District is on our doorstep with Lake Windermere approx. 40mins drive from the cottage. Keswick to the north is about the same distance. We have some fantastic walks in the locality, too.
The village of Great Asby is very peaceful, normally with only the sound of sheep baaaing or birds singing.
We welcome guests with dogs AT NO EXTRA CHARGE; as dog owners ourselves we appreciate how difficult it can be sometimes to bring them away with you on holiday. I also provide ‘dog towels’ for those muddy paws.
The cottage consists of one double bedroom, spacious bathroom with freestanding roll top bath, sitting room with log burning stove and ‘smart’ tv, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, range cooker and fridge-freezer. There is also a sun room with washing machine and tumble dryer. A large patio area with bbq is also provided for you with patio furniture. The outside area is secure, so you can let your dogs out, no problem. All linens and towels are provided, along with things like washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, dishcloths etc.
Ample parking area for up to 2 cars right outside the cottage.
I also list on Airbnb and have over 240 reviews. Why not head over there and take a look at some of them? You can then come back to Simply Owners and book direct with me with no extra fees.
Please contact me if you have any questions and I will endeavour to answer them promptly.

"Set in the prettiest village"
By Jasmine on 29-May-2023We’ve just come home from a perfect mini break at Sue and Fitz’s place and feel well and truly rested. It is set in the prettiest village with loads of great walks from the front door. Such a homely place to stay, well equipped and we even managed to take advantage of the bbq due to gorgeous weather. Sue and Fitz were very welcoming and accommodating and we also felt we had all the privacy we wanted within our own space. Our dog also had the time of his life!
A fantastic gem, in a quaint, calm village.

"Just what we needed"
By Andrea on 02-Apr-2023We had a very quiet and restful time at Susan’s. Just what we needed. Susan made sure we had everything we needed at every stage, she took in our food delivery ahead of our arrival and when we arrived later than expected we found a roaring fire waiting for us. If you are looking for a quiet time, in a lovely cosy cottage then this is for you. Susan deserves the five star reviews!!
