Local shops can be found just 10 mins walk away in the heart of Antibes, where you have a great choice of boulangeries, butchers, fish, cheese shops and markets. There are many cafes and restaurants here too, the best ones being amongst the tiny streets of the old town and along it’s ramparts. Local markets - the vibrant Marché Provençal in the heart of the old town of Antibes is a must see. All local produce; fruit and vegetables, herbs and spices, cheeses, honey and lavender, fragrant soaps, butchers, bakers and the poissonnier will Shuck fresh Oysters for you at the top of the market served with a glass of something chilled…. Friendly stallholders offer samples of their delicious products. There’s also a regular evening arts & craft fair held in the marketplace. Further markets can be found in Cannes and most of the towns.
Sporting activities in the area are abundant– there’s sailing, diving, fishing, water sports, jogging & rollerblading round the port, and of course the beaches. We felt right at home here!
By Jacob on 25-May-2024We felt right at home here! The house is stocked with everything you need, gorgeously well kept. The layout is wonderful, a perfect combo of indoor and outdoor spaces. And the location is great, 10 minute walk to the heart of town and easy drives to various parts of the Riviera. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a fabulous Côte d’Azur stay!!
.......we had the most wonderful time.
By Ty on 21-Jun-2024My family stayed at Villa Aubrieta for two weeks and we had the most wonderful time. We owe a big part of that to how comfortable it was to stay at this villa. Helen, one of the hosts, takes immense pride in maintaining this property and it shows! Villa Aubrieta is clean, comfortable and the landscaping is so beautiful. Helen made sure that we had everything we need to feel at home without 3 kids. She also provided us with incredible recommendations for where to go in the area, even going as far as making a reservation for us at a private beach. We're incredibly grateful that we found such a comfortable place and we appreciate all the efforts the hosts put into making our stay a success.
There were so many positives
By Zachary on 09-Jun-2024There were so many positives, if we had to choose one, we would say quality. Home and furnishings were top notch. Excellent accommodation and hosts (Helen and Paul). They both could not have done a better job to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Experience was without flaw.
The villa became home from the first day until the last...
By Bettina on 29-Jun-2024The villa became home from the first day we stayed until the last – it was truly spectacular, beautifully appointed and better than any website description could provide. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bedrooms and linen were top quality and the kitchen had everything for regular cooking and the BBQ fantastic. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and had everything we needed. The swimming pool area is very comfortable – with nice lounges and umbrellas. We were there during July – all the fab sport was on the tv – the villa has hundreds of channels in English and we could watch Wimbledon, F1, Euro Football, Rugby etc live. Wifi was reliable and fast. We stayed for three weeks and by then felt we could stay forever. The villa is well located to Antibes town and short uber trips to Juan Les Pins and Cannes for shopping and restaurants. There’s a great small group of shops 1 min away by car with a butcher, pharmacy, poissonerie, café and supermarket. So last minute supplies are only a short time away. Helen was the perfect hostess and kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. We’d go back in a heartbeat.
