Wansfell apartment is located in what was once the magnificent Georgian hotel of Borrans Park.

The spacious luxury apartment has a rural setting providing peace and tranquillity for total relaxation and is also an ideal base for exploring the lakes and enjoying the facilities of Ambleside. Parking for 2 cars. 2 large double ensuite bedrooms. Sorry no pets.

There are wonderful views of the hills of Wansfell, Loughrigg and Fairfield, with a footpath next to the property leading to the famous Hayes Garden Centre and beyond to the superb summit of Wansfell. Local wildlife such as deer, badger and heron are often seen from the South facing patio garden.

Private entrance into a large dining area that has an oak dining table with 4 chairs, radio/CD player with MP/iPod interface, free Wifi and payphone.
Kitchen: Open plan modern kitchen with tiled floor. Fitted with a washer/drier, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, electric oven and gas hob, Nespresso coffee machine.
Living Room: Large, spacious and bright with double patio doors to a large private patio area. Living room has a wall mounted electric living flame fire, LG Smart TV and DVD player
Bedrooms: Main Bedroom-luxurious king size solid oak bed and walk in wardrobe. Wall mounted 19” Freeview LCD TV. Luxury contemporary ensuite bathroom, includes large cubicle power shower, WC and basin.
2nd Bedroom-Zip-link bed can either be a super king size or two singles (please order at time of booking). Contemporary ensuite bathroom with bath and over bath power shower, WC and basin.
Bathrooms: Two contemporary ensuite plus separate toilet with WC hand basin and tiled floor.
The property has fitted carpets throughout, with tiled floors in kitchen and bathrooms. It is furnished to a very high standard with locally purchased solid oak furniture. Property is double glazed, has central heating and all fuel is included in the price .
Outside: 2 private parking spaces in designated spaces. Private patio area with table and four chairs for outside dining and two benches. Shared land around the building is neat and planted with shrubs overlooking fields. A perfect place to relax and unwind in tranquil settings.

Everything you need in a place to stay

This place and location is just perfect,5min stroll to Ambleside and a 5 min stroll to Ambleside Pier if you are into water sports or just visiting the surrounding lakes and villages look no further than this place.

Excellent accommodation

I stayed at this apartment with 2 friends . Always apprehensive when booking for others but we were delighted . The apartment was extremely clean , comfortable & well appointed. The location was a central base to visit all the different areas of The Lakes & was a short walk to the many restaurants in Ambleside. It was such a peaceful setting the Roe deer visited on a daily basis . The Owner Cathy could not have been more helpful & I’m sure this will be the first of many trips to this apartment.

Our fourth stay in this fabulous apartment, and it won't be our last. Very comfortable and great location. Saw the deer in the field next to the garden almost every day. Beds very comfortable and spacious rooms. Looking forward to our next stay.

Fabulous Accommodation

Wansfell Apartment is extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Came for a short winter break and couldn't fault anything-only perhaps that we should have stayed longer. Lovely warm apartment with very pleasant outside patio garden which must be fabulous in the summer. Two superb large ensuite bedrooms and a very large living room looking out onto the garden area. The kitchen is well equipped - even includes a Nespresso coffee machine. Easy parking outside, with 2 parking spaces. Very quiet location, but an easy walk into Ambleside town centre one way or to the top of Lake Windermere the other. Always enjoy walks up Loughrigg-so easy from here-hardly needed to use the car. Will come back in the summer. Ambleside has alot to offer and couldnt think of a better place to stay.

Fabulous apartment in the heart of the Lakes

Wansfell apartment is truly a delight. This was our third stay and I can happily say we'll definitely be back. The apartment itself is lovely, really well supplied, comfortable beds and is wonderfully warm on those chilly evenings. The three bathrooms are a handy bonus! It is located a short 5-10min walk into the centre of Ambleside, where you'll find lovely art shops, an amazing chocolate shop, and plenty of high quality outdoors and clothing shops to choose from, plus a great selection of restaurants and cosy pubs. You can walk directly from the apartment, or a short drive will take you to fabulous walking from Grasmere, Coniston, Scarfell and beyond. We can't recommend it enough!
