This was our second stay at the Oriole Gîte, and we loved it just as much as last year. The gîte is ideal for us - a rural setting, a comfortable interior, a shady terrace, lots of walking and cycling options, interesting towns and villages - and a swimming pool! We are glad the owners have upgraded the WiFi connection, as that was our only reservation about our stay this year. We would not hesitate to recommend it to couples or singles looking for a quiet spot far from the madding crowd.

Having stayed at Oriole gite several times over the last ten years, we can recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from it all in a beautiful, rural area of France. The gite is comfortable and well-equipped, set in stunning grounds, with a fabulous pool, for the use of two gites (a maximum of four adults at any one time). Whilst Champagnol is quiet and rural, Realmont is only a short drive away and, only slightly further afield, are Castres and Albi. The surrounding area has a plethora of hill villages, Bastide towns and markets to visit and explore. A great place to recharge your batteries.
A little slice of Heaven away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. You will feel very relaxed anytime of the day here as it is so lovely, quiet and peaceful, just the sound of the odd dog bark or the birds in the trees. The pool is so inviting, sun all day, set in a spacious beautifully kept mature garden, with loungers, chairs and tables for you to use. Oriole Gite, is spotlessly clean, bright and airy. It has everything you need in the kitchen to enjoy making tasty French meals to enjoy in the comfy dinning area inside or better still enjoy in your own private terrace or garden. Downstairs you also have a comfy sofa to relax in the evening enjoying the games or books provided, a bathroom with power shower and an enormous bath to sink into. Leading upstairs you have a large changing area, storage and a king sized bed, beautiful bedding, nestled under a skylight, blinds there, but who wants to block out the amazing view of the stars! Open beams also add to it’s warmth and charm. If your looking for a real get away… Look no further!
