Description


The house is situated near the northern tip of the Island and commands fabulous views over the Aegean sea to Skiathos, the 'floating islands', and Mount Pelion (on the mainland)... and much further. The private drive winds steeply up through fruit and olive groves.

​The closest town is Glossa (a 20 minute walk via donkey track or 15 minute drive). Glossa is a gorgeous traditional Greek town with steep and narrow cobbled streets, some intriguing shops, eateries which include one of Greece's finest restaurants, Agnanti (www.agnanti.com.gr). There are also supermarkets, a butcher, grocer, baker and other shops. The town sits on the hillside above the fishing village of Loutraki which also has cafes, restaurants and shops.

Petaloutha is the Greek for Butterfly.

Secluded villa with character surrounded by nature

The villa is truly off the beaten track, surrounded by pine forests with beautiful views to the sea. It is large and comfortable. The owner and house manager are incredibly helpful.

We had a fantastic week at Villa Petaloutha! Words can´t describe it. You have to experience it. So peaceful. The villa corresponded to our expectations! Beautiful, good comfort, so nicely decorated and personal. Outside you have a fantastic swimming pool and several cozy patios. But above all a fantastic view and sunsets! Breathtaking. We all loved it and said that it felt like home. We will come back! And most important, Antony thanks for being a great host/landlord/owner, so caring for us having a good time. And Eleni was very nice and helpfull! Best Bessie Wedholm
