Description

The villa is one of only a small number of villas situated up a private road. It offers a very relaxing location within walking distance of the beach below.

Villa Franca is a charming and peaceful single storey villa situated down it's own long drive on a hill above Torre Delle Stelle on the beautiful Southern Sardinian Coast. villa has spectacular panoramic views of the sea and the Gulf of Cagliari. The terraced garden has its own fruit trees and offers complete privacy. It also boasts a magnificent pool 13m x 6m designed with an infinity edge offering swimmers unobstructed views of the coastline. There is plenty of space to relax in the sun and contemplate the amazing views and you have a choice of areas to eat either in the shade of the olive trees or on the sheltered veranda at the front of the villa, both of which face the sea. There is also a built-in pizza oven, barbecue and outdoor shower.

The 3 bedrooms are all ensuite with their own separate entrances offering guests both independence and privacy. The villa is fully air conditioned with all mod-cons including washing machine and dishwasher. The front of the villa has a covered veranda where dining alfresco is a pleasure whatever the weather!

There is a lovely white sandy beach 10-15 minutes walk down our private road and path. Or if you prefer there is a shady car park behind the beach (preferable for young children).

Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia is approx. 40 minutes drive away. As you approach along the famous Poetta Beach you will find lots of restaurants and bars and the further on is the historic centre of this ancient coastal city.

Torre delle Stelle information:

The beauty of this part of Sardinia is that it is totally natural. There is not a high rise building in sight. This is a place to kick off your shoes and truly unwind.


Torre has 2 beaches separated by a picturesque headland. There are 2 main entrances. Both are found on the road heading back towards Cagliari and are a couple of minutes drive away. As you drive down into Torre there are tennis courts. You will also find the Palmira supermarket which has a butcher, fishmonger and small bar attached to it. The easiest way to find them is to follow the signs to the supermarket. In the evening there is a restaurant attached to the bar where you can eat inside or in the open air courtyard. There are also a couple of unobtrusive beach bars at one end of the beach.

Surrounding area: To Cagliari turn right at the bottom of the hill.

If you turn left at the bottom of our hill you will be heading towards Villasimius approx 20 – 25 mins away. On this route you will see more really breathtaking views and lots more stunning beaches to choose from.

4 mins drive away in Solanas is the well known Ristorante da Barbara. In Villasimius there are more excellent restaurants, bars and shops situated off the main street.
you want to travel further beyond Villasimius is the Costa Rei where the beach runs for miles.

The nearest airport is Elmas (Cagliari) airport. All main airlines fly to Sardinia - EasyJet, Ryanair, BA. The airport is approximately 40-45 minutes away. All the usual car hire companies are situated at the airport.
Villasimius marina: Boat hire is available in Villasimius, approx 20 minutes drive away going eastwards along coastal road:
