The exterior
Upon entering the front gate into the lovely mature garden, you’ll find a children's trampoline tucked away to your left with the pool just a bit further ahead. The pool is fully heated (at an extra cost), so we think you will spend a lot of your time enjoying the water or relaxing in the sun. Along the front of the house, you will find a terracotta terrace offering different outdoor seating corners with sofas, tables and chairs, where you can enjoy fun conversation and evening dinners. The external steps curled around the side of the house will give you access to the astonishing roof terrace, where you can enjoy sunset drinks or just simply lay and relax in the outdoors lounge bed.
The living areas
As you enter Casa Calhau, you’ll be blown away by the charming rustic interior.
The kitchen is ready to welcome you and whatever culinary delights you’ll be preparing during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances and chef utensils you will need. You will also find the laundry room and access to the back terrace, which has a large 12 people dining table and chairs protected by the shade of the surrounding tall pine trees, making it the perfect all day outdoors eating area. Through the kitchen you will also find the indoor dining room, where we’re sure you’ll make many family memories.
Finally, we move on to the fantastic living room. With its rustic decoration and a fireplace that warms the heart just looking at it, it also has a separate round TV-room so we think you will fall in love at first sight!
The bedrooms
By the entrance, there are 2 en-suite bedrooms that both have a view of the pool outside. These bedrooms are both twin beds. You will also find the guest WC and the children's bedroom, which has 2 triple bunk beds and an en-suite bathroom.
After you’ve admired the ground floor, make your way upstairs to the remaining bedrooms. The first bedroom is a twin bedroom, plus an en-suite. It also has direct access to the main roof terrace and the outside lounge area. Then, you will find the master bedroom with a double bed, its own balcony and chairs and an en-suite that also has a bathtub. Last but not least, you will also find the access steps to the second floor rooftop terrace where you will find another sitting area for a late night drink or simply to enjoy the beautiful views.
