Description
Villa Marona is a spacious, detached, non estate villa with private 12x8 pool , gardens and a 180° uninterrupted, private, south-facing aspect . With interiors decorated in Farrow and Ball neutral tones, contemporary home style mixed with traditional furnishings , original international Fine Art , and luxurious beds and bedding.
This large villa is located on the edge of the traditional rural village of Nata making it ideal for those seeking an authentic Cypriot experience / location and the peace&quiet, privacy and seclusion of a non-estate property. Villa Marona is also particularly suitable for those seeking quiet, private naturism. Its privacy would suit the discreet adult traveller seeking a private break, those who love nature and those who want to be away from the crowds and tourist hotels of Paphos.
Villa Marona is sadly unsuitable for children / under 16 due to the Risk Assessment of glass walls, large staircase and an unfenced pool.
No smoking and no group parties please.
Nata Village is ideally located a short drive from Paphos, Pissouri and Limassol . The benefits of being a short drive into the low hills surrounding Paphos are many including the gentler summer temperatures, the privacy, the epic countryside, the traditional Cypriot lifestyle and tavernas. This is close to but apart from the tourism, people and busy hotels. Here you have the space to unwind and relax. A short 20 min drive and you have the noise, bars, hotels and nightclubs and there are many local Taxi companies.
Villa Marona is a large, spacious open-plan villa with breathtaking views across this peaceful valley down to the river below. The property is the home of the Owner ,an artist living in London. The original art works in the Villa are a collection of his and other artist’s work.
The pool and terrace are in full sun all day and the sunsets can be truly spectacular. This is a creative retreat , far from the tourism of Cyprus.
The entrance is through double gates which leads to a gravel area for parking . The garden is planted with native Cypriot trees and shrubs such as Oleander , Olive, Frangipani and Cypresses.
The secure double doors of the Courtyard lead to a cool eating area, perfectly placed out of the mid-day sun with doors leading indoors to the sitting room and also provides access to Bedroom Three .
A large sitting room leads through from the Courtyard with wide grey suede sofas, large dining table , working fireplace , books, music player , Smart TV etc. Spacious with ceiling fans , white walls and art works leading to the main terrace with pool , sun loungers , table and chairs . To the side is a fully fitted contemporary kitchen with granite worktops , dishwasher , coffee Nespresso machine, induction hob and double American fridge. The kitchen is very well equipped with all necessary appliances and cooking features.
From the wide staircase one accesses the Main Bedroom which is large, airy with great valley views . There is a private balcony ideal for morning coffee or evening sunset drinks. This is also ensuite and the Bathrooms were all recently refurbished. The Second Bedroom downstairs is a Master with ensuite and the Third Bedroom is a large twin-bed ensuite. All three bedrooms are discrete from each other at different corners of the villa which is ideal.
Nata is a small village perfectly placed with a great location. From here one is close to the beaches at Mandria , the mountainous Troodos and the remote Akamas . The villa will suit a couple /s who want a break away from tourists and privacy but is near enough to Paphos ( 20 mins drive ) and Paphos International Airport ( 15 mins drive) . Pissouri naturist beach is 20 mins away. There is little noise , little disturbance bar that which one would expect from a traditional rural village . Frogs croaking in the river bed , the crickets and cicadas , the odd dog barking, donkey hehaw, and the goat bells, the swallows feeding - this is a gentle place.
There are two local taverna walkable but hilly , from Villa Marona but many more larger bars and clubs in Paphos, a short drive away.
Local supermarkets in Timi and Anarita sell everything ( 15/mins drive ) yet you can be alone when you return home to Villa Marona. There are large Hypermarkets in Paphos and Limassol which are great for big shopping trips.
