Description

Set in prime position within a small development of just 10 properties, Villa Olivia is a perfect place to enjoy Western Crete and only 30 minutes drive from the beautiful town of Chania. Overlooking the lovely Souda bay, you will enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding hills and olive groves. Lounging by the private pool, relaxing on the terrace or enjoying the gardens you can take in the superb views of the White Mountains as well as the sea. Situated between Kalyves and Vamos, you will be able to explore the nearby Blue Flag child friendly beaches (10 - 15 minutes drive) at Kalyves and Almyrida, mountains, villages and the delights of Chania. Eat and drink at the friendly beach side bars and restaurants in the small harbour villages of Almyrida and Kalyves. Explore picturesque walking and cycling trails both locally and in the White Mountains. Car hire is recommended in order to make the most of this wonderful region.

Villa Olivia is set in the most tranquil of surroundings. The soft mountain breezes, the sounds of the birds, the occasional sound of the bells on the sheep that wander the hillside all lead to a relaxed ambience. Spectacular views from the terraces are to be enjoyed all day. Welcoming beaches, restaurants and tavernas just a short car journey away all add to the whole experience. Only 35 minutes in the car takes you to the beautiful Venetian town of Chania. Time spent exploring the old town and harbour is thoroughly recommended.

Villa Olivia which was built in 2014 is situated among olive groves on the hillside overlooking Souda Bay to the front and the White Mountains to the back. The private 5m x 10m swimming pool is surrounded by a spacious sun terrace. The property is equipped with sun loungers, parasols, outside oven etc. The villa is set in a garden planted with olive and a variety of fruit trees as well as flowering plants and herbs which our guests are encouraged to enjoy. The well equipped kitchen is open plan to the dining room which has double doors to the terrace. The sitting room is spacious and comfortable with a large flat screen DVD player and is open plan to the dining area. Double doors open onto the terrace. All of the villa has air-conditioning and Wi-Fi. The master bedroom with king size bed, wardrobe, dressing table etc has an en-suite shower room and its own terrace where you can enjoy the morning sun. Bedroom 2 has a double bed, wardrobe etc and bedroom 3 has twin beds, wardrobe etc. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over and is situated between bedrooms 2 and 3. Bedroom 4 is a self-contained studio with double bed, wardrobe etc, en-suite shower and kitchenette. A cot and high chair are available on request but you should bring your own cot linen.

Beautiful villa Olivia

Beautiful Villa Olivia, this is a beautiful hill side Villa. So peaceful, very easy to relax here. This is our third stay here., we love it here so much. The Villa is clean and well equipped with all the things you need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful pool, good size. Joy and Jim are lovely, and will answer and question's you may have. Anita the caretaker is on hand if you need anything or advise during your stay. Highly recommended this Villa.

A great villa with beautiful views

Our stay in Villa Olivia was fantastic. Externally, the gardens and grounds are lovely with a gated driveway, lovely flowers, vines and fruit trees. The pool is large and has a great sun lounging area and BBQ. We spent many an evening relaxing on the cool veranda which has stunning views and can be used for dining and a lounge area. Internally, the villa is immaculate and very well appointed with air con, dishwasher, and shutters. The location is very handy for Almyrida, Kalyves and Gavalohori so within a close range are wide choice of restaurants and cafes. We enjoyed watching all the ships coming in and out of Souda Bay with a cold glass of wine in hand and some local olives. Heaven!

We enjoyed a fabulous week at Villa Olivia . From start to finish it was ‘Simply Superb’ Was easy to book and Joy and Jim were most helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The villa was beautiful, amazing location with spectacular views, spotlessly clean and furnished with everything we could possibly need and more. Perfect place for a quiet getaway and a family holiday.
