This lovely 3 bedroomed country villa is in the beautiful Garfagnana region of Northern Tuscany, set in a valley between the Appenine and Apuane Mountains.

The new salt water swimming pool is 12 x 5 metres and attached is a 3 x 3 metre shallow pool, perfect for children or just lazing in - with a book. Enjoy the sun and the views from the large furnished sun deck and pergola. The separate dining terrace is conveniently outside the kitchen and also has fantastic view of the local mountains and villages.
Casa Natalina is situated off the rural road to the village of Pianacci at the end of a lane shared with two other houses.

Casa Natalina is very well equipped and comfortably furnished, with traditional chestnut beamed ceilings and tiled floors. There a spacious double (large king bed) and two twin bedrooms, all with views, a spacious sitting room with double doors to balcony, open fireplace, TV, DVD player, terracotta flooring, beamed ceiling and open fireplace.

The large dining kitchen is fully equipped for even the keenest of cooks and leads on to a fine outdoor dining patio with sun umbrella and BBQ. There are 2 large shower/bathrooms one which has a patio door on to the balcony. The second large sun patio and garden to the front of the house has outdoor furniture, a hammock and is shaded in part by fruit trees.

The owner has a share in a vineyard and a supplies complementary chianti wine to the guests.

Garfagnana is 'Hidden Tuscany' at its best. With its stunning scenery it is the best area in Tuscany for walking and outdoor activities.

Castelnuovo, the nearby market town, has many restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarkets and all other types of shops. There is a tourist information office and a weekly market selling a wide variety of fashion, household goods, flowers, fruit and vegetables.

There is a tennis court open to the public only 10 minutes walk away with a cafe/bar. There is a new restaurant in the village which is a 20 minute walk away. The local lake and picnic area is a 5 minute walk and fishing is available.

Garfagnana is 'Hidden Tuscany' at its best. With its' stunning scenery it is the best area in Tuscany for walking and outdoor activities. Friends of Tuscany are the oldest agency in the area, and we have close ties with an Outdoor Activities company who offer many international class adventures including electric mountain biking.

We can also offer Art classes with a well known artist, excursions to the Cinque Terre, Florence and Lucca, visits to vineyards, historical guided tours and Italian cooking lessons.

Perfetto

By Tim Coupland on 12-Nov-2019

Just as described, a perfect tranquil spot with the most incredible views. The property was very well equipped and had everything me and my grown up family needed for a relaxing holiday. This included lots of lovely details such as flowers around the house, a generous welcome basket and enough local wine to sink a battle ship. Even though the weather was mixed there was still plenty to do and lots to see in the local area including walking, sightseeing and restaurants. We managed a couple of days by the pool and had one perfect evening making home made pizza and cooking it in the outdoor wood fired oven. Finally a word on the hosts, responsive, communicative and extremely helpful - not only responded the following day to a minor repair needed, but helped with us finding a wine tasting experience. What more could anyone need. Highly recommended!

Living in a coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the UK, we usually gravitate towards the sea for holidays, and are probably tough customers to satisfy, scenery-wise. As our first venture into an inland ( for us..!) venue, and Italy, Casa Natalina did not disappoint. A lovely, down-to-earth villa, we had everything needed to allow us to enjoy our week in comfort, and with all the facilities we have at home for day to day living. There were huge amounts of outdoor space available - photos understandably emphasise the pool and balcony areas, but there is also a lot of amazing wildflower meadow and many fruit trees. The Garfagnana is spectacular, densely wooded mountains soaring up to the sky all around..Nights around a wood fired barbecue admiring the view were followed by amply supplied games and wine around the big indoor fireplace. Yes, it's around 2 hours from Florence etc but... Arriving late at night, it seemed to take a long time to negotiate the winding roads which access Casa Natalina. Then we had to stop, to allow a porcupine to cross the road, At this point it all began to make sense...

Photos don't do the view justice!

The panorama from the house is stunning. The pool is lovely and we wished we were staying longer. We thought there was a pizzeria within walking distance but there isn't so you need the car to go out to eat. Lots of hillside villages and pleasant walks and not too far from places like Florence or Lucca for a day trip.
