An opportunity to experience a summer holiday in one of the loveliest villages in Tuscany, Villa Corrado is set just above the medieval walled village of Castiglione. There is a view of the ancient Castello from the house and garden. This is a great introduction to-Tuscany.

There are 5 bedrooms in the newly built villa, which is perfect for groups of family and friends.

The villa has also been equipped with a lift and designed with wheelchair users in mind. There is an English speaking house manager who lives locally and is available to provide assistance if required.

Downstairs, at the ground level with access through the internal garage, there is a large double bedroom with easy access to a bathroom with handrails, a low sink and a wheel-in shower with a seat and rails. There is also a twin room downstairs.

On the first floor there is a main door which leads into a roomy lounge with a 10 seat dining room table. For colder periods there is a cosy open wood fire. The lounge has French doors to the large balcony, which is a feature throughout the villa. The kitchen has easy access to the balcony through a French door.
Also on the first floor there is a lovely double room with a French door which leads to its own balcony with views over the pool and the beautiful countryside beyond. There is a further double room and a single room with access to the pool and sundeck.

The 12 metre private swimming pool has steps and a wheelchair lift.

The house is also equipped with a free wi-fi system

Castiglione has a number of cafes and shops, and 2 restaurants all within 300 metres of the villa.
In 2012 Castiglione was voted as one of the nicest villages in Italy. The walled village is strategically situated in the spectacularly scenic area known as the Garfagnana, arguably the most beautiful part of all Tuscany. The classic "art" city of Lucca is an easy drive, as is Pisa and Florence.

Garfagnana is 'Hidden Tuscany' at its best. With its' stunning scenery it is the best area in Tuscany for walking and outdoor activities. Friends of Tuscany are the oldest agency in the area, and we have close ties with an Outdoor Activities company who offer many international class adventures including electric mountain biking.
We can also help you to access Art classes with a well known artist, excursions to the Cinque Terre, Florence and Lucca, visits to vineyards, historical guided tours and Italian cooking lessons.
