Description

We offer two self-catering holiday cottages situated within the grounds of our Georgian house close to Pickering, on the edge of the North York Moors. Each holiday cottage is set in its own secluded garden, providing you with privacy to relax and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The Barn (P217882) and The Coach House (P217883) can also be booked together for parties up to 9 adults plus 2 infants.

The Barn is a stylish barn conversion, with a professionally designed contemporary interior, whilst retaining the character of the original Georgian barn, with revealed stone walls and original barn roof trusses. Private garden and parking. There is a master double bedroom overlooking the snug with wood burning stove, a large twin bedroom overlooking the kitchen and living space, and a third room that can be either a study or a third bedroom with a single bed.

We would like to keep The Barn and its furnishings to a high standard for the enjoyment of all our guests. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot have pets or smoking.

Down Stairs
The large patio doors open into the spacious garden. Roof-lights let plenty of natural light into the main space with fully equipped kitchen, large extendable dining table and comfortable sofa area, with flat screen TV.

North Side
There is a snug, cosy sitting room, with a second flat screen TV and DVD player. The wood burning stove makes for a relaxed atmosphere in which to unwind on a winters evening. A comfortable sleeping area, with separate dressing area on a mezzanine floor, is accessed up the elegant glass and walnut stairs. The blue wet-room with central power shower and the utility room complete this part of the Barn’s accommodation.

South Side
At the south end of the Barn, accessed by a separate walnut staircase, is a twin mezzanine bedroom looking out across original barn beams. The twin beds will convert into a superking sized bed upon request. Below is a luxurious bathroom with a deep bath and separate power shower, toilet and basin. Next to it is a room, which doubles as a study, or it can be converted into a single bedroom and is suitable for less able guests.

Outside
Parking (for up to two cars) is in the yard by the entrance to the Barn. There is an EV charger available at additional cost.

There are two attractive, professionally designed gardens. One is an Italian style pebble courtyard full of structural plants and shapes with a large seated area with barbecue for group meals; the other is a hidden gem for a romantic evening, catching the setting sun.

Exceptional

By Mark on 20-May-2021

We booked a short stay in the North Yorkshire Moors and used Noelle''s Cottage as our base. The accommodation was excellent. It has its own private courtyard with garden, table, chairs and running water feature. On entering the property you are greeted with a large open and warm kitchen which has everything you need. Two bathrooms with great showers and sitting room with cosy fire adds to the ambience. Will certainly look to come back.

Fabulous stay

Huge spacious barn conversion. Stunning location and gardens. Quiet and peaceful and close to Flamingoland and Scarborough for days out. Lovely welcome hamper. All the mod cons needed for self catering. Kids had an absolute ball ! Owner very hospitable. Would highly recommend staying here. We will be back.

Loved our stay

By Kelly on 19-Feb-2022

We absolutely loved our stay at the barn. The welcome tray and fresh bread was wonderful as was the underfloor heating and wood burner. The beds were super comfortable, the place was very clean and David was really helpful and communicative. We would definitely recommend the barn to friends and would love to come back one day. Thank you!
