This lovely barn conversion in the South Hams, South Devon is situated just outside the quaint village of Noss Mayo, a short walk from Newton Ferrers and a stone's throw from the South West Coastal Path, Fescue Cottage offers holiday makers the convenience of a popular waterside village as well as the luxury of easy parking, open shared gardens and a tennis court. Spread over 3 floors with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, Fescue Cottage provides the holiday maker with a really comfy, luxury holiday home. A quick 10 minute walk (a 2 minute car drive) and you can be swimming in crystal clear waters on the South Devon coast. The current owners have recently carried out extensive redecoration and upgrades and so now Fescue is ready to accept its first holiday makers.
Enter on the ground floor where there are 2 double bedrooms plus fully tiled bathroom. The first bedroom on the right houses a king bed with fitted wardrobes.
The second bedroom houses a comfy double bed again with a wardrobe.
Up the stairs to the first floor and you have the large kitchen/diner with fabulous views across the surrounding countryside.
Fully fitted with extensive work surfaces, large American style Fridge/Freezer and seating for 8, this modern sleek kitchen might well become the central hub for your holiday.
A twin room and a fully tiled shower room are also found on this floor.
Stairs to the 3rd floor lead you into the sitting room with exposed beams and large sky lights providing plenty of natural light.
2 sofas, 2 comfy chairs, smart television and even an office space all go to ensuring you have a truly wonderful space to kick back and relax in.
Fescue Barn is part of a small complex of barn conversions originally part of the Membland Hall estate dating back to 1870. It was formerly owned by Lord Revelstoke of the Baring Brothers Bank and is located close to the stunning South West Coastal Path. There are large communal grounds to be enjoyed as well as a tennis court, Bar B que areas and plenty of secluded spots to hide away and enjoy the peace and solitude of the South Hams countryside.
There is also a shared games room housing a darts board and table tennis. This space also has washing machines and tumble dryers which are coin operated.
For water sports lovers, a short stroll either through the woods or along the country lane and you will find yourself in the heart of Noss Mayo. Nestled on the banks of the River Yealm, you can enjoy a host of water based activities. Noss Mayo is served by 2 great pubs and across the water is neighbouring Newton Ferrers which also benefits from The Dolphin Inn as well as a Post Office, tea rooms, Co op butchers and pharmacy.
When the tide is out, you can actually walk across the ‘Voss’ to Newton Ferrers. Children love to go crabbing from the quay and jumping in the water when the tide is high.
