Description

Situated in the quiet North Cumbrian village of Newton Arlosh, this recently converted barn provides great quality, comfortable, self-catering holiday accommodation for up to four guests. With its medieval church and traditional pub, the village is welcoming and is only a stone’s throw from the Lake District and the Solway Coast. The barn forms part of Church House Farm, once a 19th century working farm, but now providing a peaceful location to escape to. PLEASE NOTE WE DON'T TAKE PETS the owner is allergic.

The accommodation is laid out in reverse with a double bedroom and ensuite, a twin bedroom and family bathroom on the ground floor and a spacious open plan living area on the first floor. French doors in the lounge open on to a Juliet balcony from where there are views across the fields to the coast and on a clear day across to Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland.

The barn has been sympathetically converted to a luxury standards with plenty of insulation, full gas central heating and double glazing. Furnished throughout with modern furnishings it has a light and airy feel while retaining some of its original features and character.

The barn is set within the gardens of Church House Farm where you will find a private seating area with a picnic bench for use by guests. In the farmyard there is also a traditional well where water was once drawn for the farm

Lucky enough to be one of the very first guests...we couldn''t believe what a high standard the barn had been fitted out to, the quality and attention to detail is amazing - easily the best we have found in self catering. Also the perfect base to explore the North Cumbrian coastline from

This is is a true gem of a place to stay with easy access to the Lakes. It was lovely to return from the hustle and bustle of The Lakes to the tranquility of Church House Barn. This accommodation is immaculately presented and a real credit to the owners Michelle and Richard who converted the barn recently so everything is brand new. The pony’s are absolutely beautiful and full of character. We will definitely visit again. Thank you both for such an enjoyable stay.Scott Donna Mike and Tracy Aberdeen
