Description

Fabulous holiday home set in extensive grounds and located near to the village of Llangrannog within walking distance (45mins) of pubs, cafe and Blue Flag beach. We have a wood fired soaking tub which seats 8 people set in a private garden setting. Recently renovated former farmhouse with luxury kitchen and bathroom and literally acres of private space to relax and enjoy the countryside. The farmhouse sleeps 7 (+1) in 4 bedrooms; two king-size bedrooms, a single bedroom (with further single pull-out bed) and a small bunk room (ideal for chilldren). There is a large living / dining room with wood burning stove, smart TV and WiFi. We have a large elevated kitchen with a triple aspect, window seats, kitchen island with seating, chaise sofa, range style cooker and the all important wine cooler. As part of renovations we installed a brand new luxury bathroom with free standing bath and walk-in drench shower. Access is available to a basement room with free to use pool table and dart board. There is a small babbling stream flowing through the centre of the grounds with several separate garden areas to explore including a mini-orchard with apple, plum, pear and cherry trees, a small wooded area and 1 acre grassed field with football posts at the front of the property with grounds totalling 2 acres. The gardens are regularly visited by birds including Red Kite, Buzzard, Gold Finch, Bull Finch, Great Spotted Woodpecker, various species of Tits, Nuthatch, Grey Wagtail, Wren, Jay, Goldcrest and more.

Located in a secluded outdoor space near the stream, the wood fired hot tub is a hands on experience and guests will need to light the fire and add wood to the stove periodically to warm the water. There are no chemicals in the water, so along with the anti-bacterial properties of the western red cedar construction and the sterilising nature of the stove, both elements combine to ensure a totally natural bathing experience. Best enjoyed on clear night to enjoy the dark skies as we are blessed with very little light pollution.

Recently completed in early 2021 is our roof terrace attached to the end of the kitchen with outdoor dining seating, lounge seating, BBQ and wood fired pizza oven. The terrace is a great place to relax and unwind.

We have installed a house alarm and CCTV as added security at Cil-y-Gorwel.

New Year Stay

By Debbie Bell on 29-Dec-2022

Spent 4 nights seeing in the New Year in this fantastic property. Wanted an idyllic setting for our family of 6 adults to unwind and relax. The house was furnished to a high quality and the kitchen space and facilities were exceptional. We used the hot tub on New Years Eve with a glass of prosecco which was included in our welcome basket along with welsh cakes and bara brith. A lovely touch. Added bonus of pool room and darts board. Our dog explored every inch of the vast garden and put herself to sleep in front of the log burner every night. Highly recommended !

A delightful stay

By Sheila Mulhall on 01-Oct-2022

We so enjoyed our week in this beautiful house and grounds. Strolling in the grounds listening to the birdsong and enjoying the variety of trees, Totally recharged batteries after a very stressful year.. inside, the house is equipped with absolutely everything to make your stay very easy. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Lots of outdoor places to sit and bbq or just relax. The local beach just a short distance away has most fabulous waves, suitable for surfing and other pursuits but also so relaxing to just sit and listen to the sound of the surf. Nearby comfy pubs dog friendly also views of the waves. We shall certainly be back to recharge again.

Peaceful get away

By Val Schofield on 27-Aug-2022

Second stay for us at this haven. We so enjoyed last year that we booked again for a week this year. With 2 doubles, bunks and a single there’s plenty of room for everyone. This house really has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is fabulous with a large breakfast bar and wine cooler, large patio, there’s no need to go anywhere, but there are fab beaches to visit nearby. The secluded hot tub in the beautiful garden is an oasis and our dogs loved exploring the two acres. It is so peaceful and relaxing, a real get away from it all. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to stay here.
