A really wonderful property, very spacious and an amazing garden and grounds. Plenty of room for everyone to eat together and the games room provided lots of entertainment. A perfect location to see South Devon and visit some beaches and neighbouring pretty towns. Richard was brilliant with his communication. I’d highly recommend this property.
Fine big house for an extended family holiday. The house had enough bedrooms and bathrooms for our eight adults and five children, and enough other rooms to accommodate us all on a rainy day. The garden was great - exclusive use of a large garden of trees, lawns, and patio plus an outside/barbecue room and also an extended area with ponds, a hill and a lot of space. Some other reviews mention that it''s not all pristine, but that made it all the more comfortable for a family event. It''s tucked away in a maze of lanes a couple of miles from the coast and some interesting villages with shops, pubs and so on.
House has plenty of character with its nice square rooms and spacious hall, landing and stairway. We felt the decor style added to the homely feel of the house, as did the log burner and open fire. The kitchen was well equiped. The house is in a nice, quiet location with an attractive garden. We were there Christmas week and the underfloor heating and central heating kept the house warm and comfortable.
