This was our first visit to Normandy and Le Cottage de Chouettes is perfectly located, just 3 miles from the ferry terminal at Caen and only 1km to Sword beach which is clean, vast and uncrowned. The property is a short walk to the local village which has a lovely bakery and a butcher. There is also a peaceful war memorial nearby. The owner greeted us on arrival and was very friendly and helpful. The property was immaculate and has every amenity you will need, including an oven, dishwasher and washing machine. The big plus is the large outside patio/decking area where you have complete privacy to relax and unwind. The property is perfectly located to explore the historic Normandy beaches and villages as well as Caen and Bayeux. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property as a great base to stay at if visiting Normandy.
Le Cottage des Chouette c'était notre vrai coup de cœur : très confortable et moderne, bien placé dans un environnement calme, tout y est prévu pour passer un très bon séjour.
Super cottage, très bien équipé. La déco est sympa, il y a plein de petits détails pratiques. Des jeux pour tous, des BD, une super plancha,... Les proprios sont sympas et à l'écoute. Endroit très calme, à mi-chemin entre la plage et le village (avec tous les commerces nécessaires). La connexion wifi n'est pas très bonne, mais elle fonctionne. Parfait pour se détendre ou comme base de départ pour découvrir tout le Calvados :)
