The perfect, comfortable cottage for a relaxing holiday, Talbot House sleeps up to 5 in 3 bedrooms, ideal for families and groups and indeed if rented together with the adjoining studio (P5011) can accommodate up to 7 people. The entrance porch leads into a spacious lounge with original exposed beams, cosy open fire, views across the Helton village green , a flatscreen TV with DVD and a small music system. The open plan dining room has a large six seater dining table.There is cental heating throughout. Off the lounge, the fully fitted kitchen includes dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer and extensive views down the garden to the Lowther Valley.
The stairs lead past a customised single room with cabin bed to the master bedroom with a feature king size bed and a further twin upstairs. The fully tiled bathroom has a bath and shower with waterfall shower head.
There is parking for 2 vehicles outside the front door.

The sleepy conservation village of Helton is an ideal place for a lake district cottages short break and is perched on the hillside only 3 miles away from Ullswater across Askham fell in the North East corner of the Lake District national Park. Lakeland Slate and Stone cottages predominate. Beautiful walks through the Lowther Estate lead to the neighbouring village of Askham, one mile to the North with 2 pubs, post office, village shop and open air heated swimming pool. South of Helton is the road to Bampton and Haweswater, with the drowned village of Mardale beneath. Talbot House and Talbot Studio are ideally located for those who wish to walk, fish, cycle or just enjoy the surroundings. Facilities include a shared terraced garden, with table and chairs and BBQ for those outside evenings. There is a secure locked garage for bicycles or a small boat. The market town of Penrith is within a 10 minute drive, with speciality shops, restaurants, supermarkets and a cinema. Within a five mile radius there are cycles for hire, pony trekking, water sports, leisure, health and beauty.
