Lakefield Cottage (also known locally as Potters Cottage) is a cosy cottage which adjoins Lakefield House, sleeps 2-3 people, and has beautiful views from the sitting room and bedroom. Visit Britain 4 star rated, it comprises:
One bedroom (one king-size and one single bed).
Sitting room/diner kitchen with luxurious fittings.
Flat screen TV (Freeview), DVD, video.
Luxury bathroom.

Lake District self catering near Hawkshead. Visit England 4 star rated.

This cosy but luxurious cottage adjoins the main house and it shares the same breath-taking view over Esthwaite Water and the surrounding mountains. It is self-contained and is peacefully located.

The cottage has a separate entrance (off a shared private driveway) and comprises a ground floor lounge/diner looking towards the lake and mountains.
The living area has comfortable seating, a 26" flat screen (with Free Sat and a DVD/video player) and a selection of books and games. There are great lake and fell views through the picture windows. The stylish kitchen is custom-built in light oak with granite work surfaces and has a ceramic hob, Bosch split grill/oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/ freezer and washer/dryer.

The bedroom has a king-size bed and a single bed, both with duvets and linen is provided (towels can also be provided at £3.50 pppw).The bedroom is tastefully furnished and also has excellent lake and mountain views (see pictures). The stylish bathroom is luxuriously equipped and has a shower over the bath.

Outside, at the rear, is a private enclosed garden with a Lakeland slate terrace and garden furniture, perfect for meals "al fresco". This cottage garden is at the rear of the property and does not have a view of the lake. There is also a paved sitting area at the side of the cottage which does have good views. There is a parking space for one car. Tesco Direct will deliver food/groceries, if required. The cottage is suitable for 2/3 persons and one well behaved dog (sorry no cats) is accepted by prior arrangement.

Lovely place with great views. Would recommend staying here. Clean and everything you require in a stay. Ps great comfortable bed.

A great place for 2 and a dog!

Massively relaxing and very welcoming. Great walks from the door and despite almost persistent rain did manage a couple of dry walks - and one of two wet ones too! The Tower Bank Arms is a fantastic pub - large helpings of good quality food but must book well in advance as it''s not that big. Other excellent restaurants in Ambleside - the Doi Intanon great for Thai and the Old Stamp House for a ''posher'' meal. For a rainy day a visit to the ''Pencil Museum'' in Keswick is great fun - and they''re not short of pencils!

“We had a week over Christmas here and were delighted with the property and the way we had been treated.” Lovely decorations and a gift left, thankyou so much. Everything was available that you may need. Great cottage, warm, comfortable and cozy, with great views set in a quite relaxing area. Just great for an unwind. Which we did and did not want to leave. Great walks all around and a good local pub 2 mins from the door. Will be looking to book again for sure. - Christopher, December 2023
