Description

This newly created gite offers contemporary styling combined with the oak beams of the original barn . Generous living space downstairs with an open-plan kitchen, dining and living room with a large wood burning stove and access to a rear outdoor terrace. Upstairs the landing leads to a mezzanine sleeping area, a double bedroom and a shower room with sink and toilet.

Genévrier sits within the courtyard of an old Périgord style farm now called Au Coin Des Arbres. We are located in the hamlet of Ballande 500m along a no-through road with very little passing traffic. A network of footpaths and tracks pass directly by Au Coin Des Arbres and the village and chateau of Biron is a 30 minute walk through the woods.

Au Coin Des Arbres has a large outdoor pool (13mx7m) with sunbathing terrace, a large field with games including volleyball, badminton and disc-golf. We are surrounded by nature with plenty of opportunity to watch wildlife.

Your hosts, Tony and Lisa, are English speaking and live on site so we are available to assist with sightseeing recommendations and to help with making reservations..

Friendly and welcoming

Tony and Lisa were fantastic hosts - ready to give advice or tips whenever needed, and always friendly and welcoming. Thank you! We really enjoyed Chateau des Milandes, the town of Monpazier (and the restaurant Privilège du Périgord), and the small town of Villeréal - which is only a short drive from Au coin des arbres, and really worth it for a nice coffee/lunch and a wander round the pretty old town.
