Description

Well Farm Cottage is a pretty traditional character cottage dating from the 18th century. In a rural setting amidst beautiful countryside, one of a few cottages in a courtyard setting on a 70 acres sheep and beef farm. Holidaymakers are welcome to stroll in the woods and fields, one of these walks leading to the stream (River Tamar) with trout fishing. The stream also makes a pleasant setting for picnics. Other walks include part of the old Bude Canal. Many holiday attractions in the area including Tamar Lakes Water Park (nature reserve, for hire- canoeing, windsurfing, sailing),Widemouth Bay and Bude beaches, surfing, Trethorne Leisure Farm, The Venue ten pin bowling etc.

Ground Floor
Large open plan lounge/diner which has suite including double bedsettee, dining table and chairs, flatscreen digital TV, beamed ceiling and character fireplace with electric heater. Modern fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer. Washing machine and clothes airer provided. Downstairs bathroom with fitted electric shower over bath, WC and sink, heated towel rail.

First Floor
Bedroom 1 has a double bed. Bedroom 2 has a double bed. Bedsettee in lounge. There is also a cot, highchair and stairgate available upon request.

Facilities and Services
Linen, towels and hairdryer are provided. Free wifi. Modern electric radiators in lounge/diner, kitchen and both bedrooms. Wall mounted towel rail in the Bathroom. Selection of books and games. Picnic table and BBQ. Use of children's play area, shared with the other cottages. Short breaks available. Adjacent parking in courtyard. Arrival and departure for weekly bookings is Saturday. Indoor games room, table football, books, games, toys and tourist information. Pet pigs and chickens on site. Outside courtyard with kettle bbq and seating; open plan grass area next to cottage with picnic table.

An amazing and beautiful place

Such an amazing and beautiful place to stay! With lovely lovely people! You just have this loving, caring feeling! What a lovely place to come and relax! To top it off lovely cute piggies to have a snuggle with very friendly! I would recommend this place to anyone! And would love to come back one day! So grateful that my little dog was able to stay here!

An amazing stay

We've just got back from an amazing stay in well farm cottage. Our kids ran around free and safe (3y and 18m), they loved the swing seat and slide. We all fell in love with raspberry and rhubarb (the pigs). And were made to feel really at home by clare, Michael and marina. We had lovely neighbours too. All the way home we were taking about when we can go back! Thank you from all of us. See you again soon. Xx

A relaxed and memorable time away

Our family stayed at Clare's place during our recent trip to Cornwall. We travelled with our two boys ages 5 and 6. The cottage is located right on the border of Cornwall/Devon and easy to get to various places on the west coast of Cornwall. The cottage was clean, cosy and very bright. The highlight of our stay was waking up and having our boys feed the pigs and finding the eggs from the chickens. Our holiday was simply lovely and peaceful. We would recommend to any family wanting a relaxed and memorable time away from the business of life! We hope to return again the future. Thank you, Clare and family!
