Part of a small group of holiday cottages/apartments in a stunning setting with great views. Quiet vibe (see below). Mountain, Valley and Canalside walks and cycling from the door. Walkable to good pubs and the pretty town of Crickhowell with it's renowned independent shops, cafe's and pubs. Formerly the stable with its arched windows Oaktree Holiday Cottage is full of light and character. With its oak beams, stone walls and wooden floor the cottage envelops you whatever the weather.
There are two comfy sofas and a pretty dining area tucked around the corner. The modern kitchen area is sociably situated so all the family can enjoy each other's company. Coats and boots can be tidied away under the stairs. The utility area contains a small freezer and leads to the downstairs shower room and WC.
The open tread stairway leads up to three good sized bedrooms a family bathroom. All the upstairs rooms have vaulted ceilings. The single bedroom looks into the huge oak tree from which the cottage takes its name. Lie in bed and watch the birds living in the hollow tree with the mountains beyond. The kingsized bedroom has views towards the spectacular Llangattock Mountain.
The spacious bathroom is off the landing and has a shower over the bath. Incidentally, the walls between the cottages were built as exterior walls and are so thick that Oaktree is quiet and tranquil whilst still being in its courtyard setting. A stable door allows you to the sounds of the countryside in and gives access to the seating outside.
** Children are welcome but please note there are no play areas and we promote The Neuadd as Adult-Oriented, quiet vibe. Please consider whether this fits with your holiday expectations.
Groups: Two cottages can be booked if you want to join with friends. We accept larger bookings when the whole site is booked exclusively.

Ideal of you are looking for a beautiful location thats walkable to town, with stars, visiting owls, wonderful views, with canalside or mountain walks and great bike rides from the door. Crickhowell is a truely exceptional small town that hasn't been taken over by large chains but has a good selection of excellent quality locally owned shops, pubs and cafes.
