Our characterful, former lead miners cottage has an elevated position with views over the village of Bradwell and the Peak District hills from every window. The heart of Bradwell village is a short walk downhill and offers several small shops including a Co-Op, Post Office, Old Bakehouse (hot savoury snacks, filled rolls, delicious salads and cakes) and a Fish and Chip shop. There are also 3 traditional pubs, 2 serving good food.

Thoughtfully furnished throughout to provide cosy, holiday accommodation and a home from home experience, our cottage is perfect for couples, or small families, to enjoy a holiday in the Peak District countryside. Wireless internet is available

The well-equipped kitchen has an exposed oak beam, electric oven, gas hob, solid maple work surface and a Belfast stone insert sink with marble worktop. Guests have even commented that washing up is a pleasure with the view down the valley! A larder gives extra useful storage space. A full range of utensils, bakeware, crockery and glasses are available in addition to a microwave, fridge (with ice box), toaster and kettle.

There are two bedrooms on the first floor:
Bedroom 1 has an exposed oak beam, 5ft solid oak King double bed, solid oak wardrobe, chest of drawers and 2 bedside drawers, bedside lamps and hair dryer.

The Utility Annex has coat and boot hooks for hanging up outdoor wear along with a sink, worktop and a washer dryer. It even has a handy 2nd WC!

To the front the cottage has a lovely enclosed garden with dry stone walling and a palisade fence, stone flagged patio and flower borders. Fabulous base

By Rebecca on 13-Nov-2023

Field View is a beautifully appointed cottage which serves as an ideal base from which to explore the Peak District. There are lovely villages, towns and walks within a very short distance and the cottage itself is a comfortable "home from home". Would certainly recommend and may well be back to tick off what we missed!

Fabulous Base!

My third stay at Field View and hopefully not my last. Makes a perfect base for climbing, hiking or biking in the Peak and such a comfortable place to retreat to after a day in the hills!

Mike, it's always a pleasure welcoming you back to our cottage in the Peaks.

Perfect holiday cottage.

By Shirley Pretty on 19-May-2023

Field View was the perfect holiday cottage. Clean, cosy, well equipped, comfortable, very pretty and with a sweet garden and lovely views. Great and helpful communication from the owner and a delightful welcome gift of wine and cookies. The village was great; quiet but with everything you need, small supermarket, village shop, bakery and pubs. Great walks almost from the door and well situated for Castleton with it''''s caves and walks to MamTor, Lose Hill etc. All in all just couldn''''t fault this lovely holiday rental.
