Stunning

By John Jarvis on 01-Oct-2022

What a beautiful home in an idyllic location just a short downhill stroll to the lovely harbour with its quaint shops and pubs. The property does not disappoint and is located in a quiet backwater with only occasional people and the odd car going to the harbour. Delightful walks are on your doorstep a truly desirable property we will be going back.

Thank-you John. It was a pleasure to have you and Val as our Guests. I hope Alfie made some friends enjoying himself on the beautiful Cornish beaches.

Home from home

By Karen Hurn on 17-Sep-2022

Really lovely stay at Norwood. We were delighted to find the table set for afternoon tea with a beautiful home-made Victoria sponge on our arrival - very welcome after a long journey. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds soooo comfortable, and good showers. We did try cooking with the Aga, but not very successfully. Didn't find the small electric oven very successful, either. (This is the only reason why I'm not giving this property a 5). Luckily, there were a few good restaurants in the village within walking distance - easy on the way down the hill, but much slower on the way back up! The parking space was very welcome and needed - despite parking outside the house on the left as directed when we arrived, a neighbour knocked within the hour to ask us to move our car, so probably best just to park in the road for loading and unloading, and use the parking space in the road above at all other times. Once we found it , it was very close and convenient. All in all, a very good property - recommended if you like hill walking and cooking with an Aga! [Reponse from owner: We are extremely upset and concerned about the potentially adverse comments made. Everything at Norwood is of the highest quality, including the Kitchen. With high praise from previous Guests, e.g. "Pure Indulgence, Outstanding, Excellent Facilities, Best Place we have ever stayed in"]

Norwood House

By Linda and Adrian Smart on 10-Sep-2022

As soon as we arrived we felt welcome seeing a table set for afternoon tea, with cake and flowers. Although we have stayed in Boscastle many time, this was our first time at Norwood. We were not disappointed, the house had everything we could need and was extremely comfortable, especially the master bed. We’d come again and recommend it to others. Thank you.
